CBI Home Health workers in Regina become CUPE’s newest members in Saskatchewan

CUPE welcomes approximately 30 new members at CBI Home Health in Regina, who have officially joined CUPE as Local 5605 following a successful organizing drive.

Workers at CBI Home Health voted in favour of joining CUPE in an electronic ballot counted on January 29, 2026. The Saskatchewan Labour Relations Board issued the certification order on February 9, 2026.

CUPE 2268 and 3730 members deliver strong strike mandate

Members of CUPE 2268 and CUPE 3730 have delivered a strong strike mandate, voting overwhelmingly in favour of strike action if necessary.

From 4 p.m. on Saturday, February 7 to 11 a.m. on Monday, February 9, members of both locals participated in a strike vote, with nearly 90% of those who voted in each local voting in favour.

CUPE welcomes approximately 80 new members into the union following a favourable decision from the Saskatchewan Labour Relations Board (LRB).

The members who form CUPE 5604 are Southland Transportation bus drivers working in 16 communities across the Horizon School Division.
